DGVS Celebrates World Environment Day with Large-Scale Tree Plantation Drive

In celebration of World Environment Day 2026, DGVS (Dehaati Gramothan Vikas Samiti) organized a large-scale tree plantation campaign across multiple locations with the aim of promoting environmental sustainability and inspiring communities to take active steps toward protecting nature.

The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from community members, volunteers, students, social workers, local leaders, and residents. Saplings of various species were planted at schools, public institutions, village areas, community spaces, and other suitable locations to enhance green cover and contribute to a healthier environment.

World Environment Day serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility toward the planet. Through this initiative, DGVS encouraged people to understand the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, reducing pollution, conserving biodiversity, and combating the growing challenges of climate change.

During the plantation drive, awareness sessions were also conducted to educate participants about environmental conservation and sustainable living practices. Volunteers emphasized the importance of protecting natural resources, reducing waste, conserving water, and adopting environmentally responsible habits in daily life.

The event highlighted the message that planting a tree is not merely an activity but an investment in the future. Every sapling planted today contributes to cleaner air, improved soil quality, increased biodiversity, and a healthier environment for future generations.

DGVS believes that environmental protection requires continuous efforts and community participation. The organization remains committed to undertaking initiatives that promote ecological awareness, sustainable development, and social responsibility. Through plantation drives, awareness programs, and community engagement activities, DGVS strives to build a greener and more sustainable future.

The World Environment Day plantation campaign was a remarkable success and reflected the collective commitment of individuals and communities toward environmental stewardship. DGVS extends its heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers, supporters, institutions, and community members whose participation helped make this initiative meaningful and impactful.

As we move forward, DGVS encourages everyone to nurture the planted saplings and continue contributing towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet. Together, we can create lasting environmental change and leave a positive legacy for generations to come.
